I watched a movie RECESS ytd.
It was rather touching, honest.
There was this fourth-grade boy who believed in SANTA and wrote letters to him every Christmas.
His best pals didnt believe in SANTA.
But they didnt want to state it out cs they were afraid to hurt his feelings since he was so into SANTA.
Then there was this big TV show and the producer went to the boy's school and the principal was thrilled.
Cs the boy [Mike] was a very good singer, and thus the principal brought him out and asked him to audition for the producer.
He sang, and his voice was so beautiful that it shattered the producer's heart.
The producer then decided to film the TV SHOW at the school.
Since it was Christmas, the theme was WHITE CHRISTMAS.
Mike was playing Santa Claus and he was in cloud-nine cs he was knew he was able to play one of the greatest man on earth.
He wrote another letter to Santa and asked the great man himself to watch the play at his school.
His friends were happy for him, but were also worried because they knew he would never get a reply and the disappointment he will have.
However, this roused the jealousy of another boy.
During recess, this boy caught Mike writing a letter to Santa and so he laughed, "You believe in Santa ? You are crazy! That's kids stuff. Nobody believes in Santa!"
Mike was overwhelmed with shock and he exclaimed that it didnt matter if he[that boy] didnt believe in Santa cs he and his best pals will.
His best pals didnt answer Mike and he felt aggrieved.
"i will prove to you that SANTA exists!"
No matter how hard Mike tried, he couldnt convince his friends that Santa exists.
He tried the encylopedia but Santa was just an imaginary character, or just one person who died hundreds of years ago.
He went to the mall with his best pals and took a photo with the "Santa" as evidence.
However "Santa's" beard tore away and left Mike running away.
Everything he did was useless.
He also came to believe that Santa didnt exist and was only an imaginary character to enourage kids to be good children.
He felt his world crumbled around him, and he broke down.
He took out his letters to Santa and tore them into millions and threw them away into the wind.
When the day of the play arrived, Mike decided not to show up.
His besties were worried about him and looked everywhere for him but to no avail.
Mike sat in a corner in his neighbourhood.
A man sittng on a bench in his garden waved to Mike and shouted his name.
Mike was surprised because he didnt know that man.
And that was their conversation.
Mike: How did you know my name?
Man: I've seen you around before. Hey, why're you so sad?
Mike [sobbing]: My friends dont believe in Santa. He didnt exist anyway. I tried to prove to them but it was all of no use. All these years i've been writing letters to him but he .. [broke down and cried]
Man: Oh is that true? Do you believe in him? You dont need other people to tell you. Some things just exist in the heart. And you are one very special little boy.
[digital watch gave a small "tick"]
Man: Oh i better get going! It's going to be one cold Christmas!
The man went into the house and winked at Mike before he left.
Mike thought for a moment and ran back to his school.
The play was beginning to reach his part and the boy [who made Mike believed theres no Santa]
came out.
However, he fainted due to severe stagefright.
Suddenly, Mike jumped out from the curtains and sang a joyous Christmas carol which brought tears to many.
When the play ended, everyone gave a loud round of an applause.
His best pals patted his back and congratulated him with disarming smiles.
Basking in the praises of his friends, Mike was delighted.
He then caught sight of the man who had advised him earlier.
He rushed towards him and asked him why he was here.
"You invited me, remember?" the man smiled.
And as he walked further ahead, Mike's letter flew to his hands.
His friends were amazed. "I thought you tore the letter ?!" Jess asked.
As Mike and his friends looked up into the night sky, they heard a faint "Hohohoh!" and the silhouettes of the reindeer and Santa Claus were seen.
